The BMW X5 2010 / 2011 Facelift
Update: We now have high-res pictures and UK details and prices for the 2010/2011 BMW X5. I know, to us in the UK – and Europe for that matter – this is the 2010 BMW X5. But for readers on the other side of the Pond this is the 2011 BMW X5 as it won’t start hitting the roads until later this year.
The projects on show cover the full spectrum of vehicle concepts. Particular topics this year were environmentally friendly hybrid supercars, urban microcars and future cars for China. The course has a strong international presence, with students from Brazil, Belgium, China, Taiwan, Finland and Australia among this year's graduates and this contributed to the wide variety of work on display.
Pininfarina took the wraps off its latest bespoke creation at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance this past weekend. Called the Hyperion, one of the Titans of Greek mythology, the car was created for collector Robert Hall by the coachbuilder's Special Projects Division. It was inspired by the proportions of cars from the 1930s.
